Toyota Prius (16 - Present)
Review
This was very much the car of the moment at one stage - Hollywood stars, Irish families, environmentally conscious drivers – they all joined the very trendy Prius club. Fast forward nearly twenty years and the market has moved on considerably, and the Prius is no longer the only Hybrid in town. It's been given a very edgy makeover for 2016 with a futuristic new look that certainly makes a statement – though it's sure to divide opinion. Based on a whole new platform – it's now sharper to drive, and greener than ever before. The movement of the battery pack to under that back seats has freed up some more boot space and it still remains above all, a practical family car. There's lots to be said for being the original, and the last two decades Toyota have spent perfecting the Prius brand shows in just about every area of this new model. So it needn't need to worry about all those new young pretenders just yet.
Look Out For
- Do not jump start. Hybrids should only be trickle charged
